Cee Blair Sailor was bred to be a champion!
His sire, Topsail Cody (by Joe Cody) was an NRHA Futurity Champion and an AQHA World Champion. Topsail Cody was never "beaten" in the show pen but, he was tied once. In the second go round of the NRHA Futurity Topsail Cody tied with Miss Cee Blair (by Blair Cee). Miss Cee Blair went on to become the NRHA Open World Champion in 1985 and the dam of four world champions earning a total of 7 world championships. Sailor and both his sire and dam have been inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame. A five week period in the Fall of 1994 typifies his accomplishments. On September 11th, Sailor swept the NRHA Eastern Affiliate Championships in Wilmington OH, winning four bronze trophies. Immediately after the show, he was on his way to Germany, where the next week he won both go rounds of the $30,000 added Open Reining in Augsberg, beating a field of over fifty top reining horses from Europe and the United States. Returning to New York, he spent a week in quarantine and went back into training for the All American Quarter Horse Congress, where he entered and won every class he was eligible for - the NRHA Open, the NRHA Limited Open, and the AQHA Senior Reining. After a four year lay off Cee Blair Sailor came back to the show pen in 1999 and added four Bronze Trophies to his record, winning large Non Pro classes at the Florida Reining Classic and the Firecracker Classic.
